Well, our computer decided to have a little sulk, so I only managed to watch the video twice, but I think I gained enough inspiration from it to create my project, which this week, I decided was to be a giant tag.
The video is rich in layers, and I wanted to replicate this in my creation. First, I took the tag outside and spritzed Dylusions sprays through a mask, to create a mottled effect. To this I added some random stamping.
I had this wonderful image to work with, you can find it, and so many more images at Dilly Beans. I printed the image in two different sizes, as in the video the impression is of the main character shrinking and growing as she completes her journey. I coloured everything in shades of blue, if you watch the video, you'll see why.
I found these flowery stamps among our collection, and they reminded me of the flowers in the video, how serendipitous.
To the bottom of the tag, I decided to add some of this
With this
To represent a watery layer (it looks better dried, honest!)
Of course, it wouldn't have looked good if I hadn't added this
Over the beady mess
I was ultra careful while spraying indoors, Wilbear becomes a little more curmudgeonly if we decorate the walls with our mists.
Once everything was dried, I began sticking my flowers and images. I added a sentiment, cut from the Cricut, to complete the creation.
Of course, this post would not be complete without a gratuitous shot of yours truly, posing with my creation.
Why don't you pop over to Musically Challenged, watch the video, and join in the challenge? You may even win a prize.
With love from the bears
OMG...Amazing !!! This is just so straight out of the video !!! BRILLIANT make my little Bear Friend :-D xxxxxxxxxxxx
ReplyDeleteOoh... that is such a cool tag, Pooh - one of the best Bears' makes ever, I'd say! I love the differently sized images, glorious background and that scrummy glass bead gel - brilliant work!
ReplyDelete(And I haven't even watched the video yet - my computer is also a bit sulky at the moment, and I want to catch up on as much visiting as I can while it's behaving itself.)
