WOYWW- nothing!

Hello, there, it's Horace here in the living room for today's WOYWW. It's so much warmer than the bears' bedroom and the sofa supports my pawly back, which is really playing up right now. I decided to try and take my mind off it by attempting to draw a chocolate wrapper. Unfortunately this meant eating the contents first, what a hard job that was!!!!

As you can see I'm attempting a one page spread in my Dylusions journal. So far I've only created double pages so this will be an extra challenge for me. I also have out my Posca white marker, which I doodled round the bubbles of writing with. I know it's not quite right, but you know what? I don't care. It was fun to draw and I've chosen to be a little less stressy about my art and just enjoy the process.

I managed to make a very small mess on the sofa with my various colouring and sketching implements. Check out my very cool pencil case, gifted to me by a very special friend.

Here's the chocolate picture close up. Mmm I could eat it all over again!!

Anyway, I need to do a hop or two, to see what everyone else is up to. Thank you so much for all the lovely welcome back messages last week. We're still trying to decide if Wilbear should continue with his studies or not, he really wants his degree but has been ill ever since restarting studying. Sigh.

With love from the bears

  2. What a great idea - especially since you have to eat the contents whilst drawing :-D Marvelous idea.
Sorry that Wilbear has been so ill.... maybe the studying is a little too much for him or is it just bad luck ? Every time I go to start something new I get struck down sick. Maybe Destiny's way of saying 'don't do it' ?? !!
    Huggies to you all xxx

  10. Hi guys, glad you are here again. A hard decision for Wilbear to make, but, learning should be fun, if its making him stressed/ill, then maybe he needs to put it aside for now. Love the picture, the drawing is excellent. Like you said here, just relax and enjoy the process! New link at #102, as my first one linked to last week. Have a great week, Hugs, Shaz XX

  11. What a pretty pencil case! You are spot on that your art should make you happy and not fuss over it. The drawing is very nicely done, good enough to eat! As for Wilbear's decision, it is a hard one to make.

  12. Oh dear, Wilbear, what a dilemma--that really is a difficult decision.

Well done with the chocolate wrapper, and thank you for the peek at all your lovely drawing pencils!

  16. Cracking drawing - but yes, very tempting. Maybe rather than eating the same bar over again, you could do a series of studies of many different makes of bar?!

So sorry to hear that Wilbear's been feeling the pressure health-wise under the new regime - hard to focus when you're not well. Wishing better days for all soon... maybe when the sun comes out things will feel better.

  19. Your drawing of the candy wrapper is very good, too bad you HAD to eat the candy first (grin)
I didn't link up this week, chose to spend this Wednesday on a playdate with an old friend gallivanting around the craft shops and having lunch. It was a GOOD day, but I do miss WOYWW, so I'm hopping a little late.

  22. I recognise that pencil case *grin*. Great drawing bears! Nothing like snuggling up on the sofa and sketching away some hours. Hugs for pawly bears - and good luck with the decision making. What's meant for you won't go by you. xxx

  23. Sorry about the bad back, it's grim, there's never a comfortable position is there. I love the galaxy drawing, really dimensional.

  24. Happy Belated WOYWW. I have missed catching up on your furry adventures. Love the pencil case and now I want some chocolate! Have you tried a heat pad for your back? I totally understand how Wilbear is feeling. I have cut back on lots of things and cancelled some planned stuff. Spending more time doing what I want to do, and resting. My hip has flared anyway, so I cannot get out much. Obviously us humans and bears share many of the same problems. Ali x. #47

  28. After a disastrous week and weekend, I'm finally able to stick my head above water long enough to return your visit from last Wednesday. Sorry to read about your back, but your lovely art more than makes up for it, I'm sure. And I understand that chocolate heals what ails you, too (grin).

  29. Hey you there! Are those pastels from Derwent, right!? I have the aquatone and intense pencils, but not the pastels. Are they heavenly as people say!? 😍
Your drawing is fantastic and pretty accurate! I could eat that page, if only I didn't have this sore throat! 👍
