Well you know what it's like when you have a furtastic idea in your head, so you sit down ready to craft, and the idea suddenly takes on a life of its own, leaving your paws with no choice but to just go along with the whirring brain....
My tag idea was to use an image of a Victorian woman, interposed with a stamp of a plane, adding words to depict her fantasy that one day flying may be reality for humans as well as birds.
Then I went to see our friend Florence, and she presented me with these little beauties
The poor Victorian lady was instantly banished from my furry brain, the trouble is, the original concept lingered on, despite my trying to wash it out of my brain with a session of Bakewell tart munching!!!
So, I gave in to my now muddled concept, and ended up with this odd concoction
It does still kind of fit the criteria, the airship and the words 'time' and 'fly' are from my lovely new steam punk stamps, as is the lightbulb, which depicts a wild fantasy of thought, along with the sentence 'in time, people may even fly'.
So that's Steampunk and fantasy covered, invention is covered with the lightbulb and also the airship, and I think it has a feel of Victoriana to it, although this is where the image of a Victorian lady would have fitted in better, but as I said, she was kicked out in favour of my new toys!! I'm so fickle.
I also used this Papermania stamp, at first I stamped it straight onto the misted tag, but it hardly showed at all, so I restamped onto white card with stazon, and distressed the imaged with shabby shutters distress ink.
I also distressed the airship stamp and the printed words with the delightful Shabby Shutters ink, to blend all the elements together.
I'm looking forward to more challenges, that's if the other bears permit me to play again.
With love from the bears 🐻
