Hello there from the bears on yet another WOYWW. If you haven't discovered Julia's blog yet then Press your furry paw here to take a peek at craft desks from all over the world.
This week the bears are continuing the secret theme from last week,
We've been working on a different project this week, for a good friend of ours, Mrs Sweetie. Some years ago now a group of us decided to start bear journals, with the idea that one lucky bear per household would embark on a journey across the UK, having adventures on the way. In due course, Henry, from Mrs. Sweetie's abode came to join us for his penultimate adventure before heading home.
We really want Henry's journal entry to remain a secret so that Mrs. Sweetie is assured of a surprise when he eventually arrives home, and we know she sometimes visits the bears's blog, so the photo above shows a general mess on our desk, with Henry's journal in the middle. The surrounding stash is slowly transforming into Henry's memoirs of his time here.
We'll indulge your curiosity, with a close up, but only of the corner rounder we used on the journal! What teases we are!
Oh okay, we'll be nice and show you the misted journal pages, just after we'd sprayed them, and prior to further decoration.
Here we are, indulging in our second favourite pass time, watching paint dry.
We're off to visit some desks all over the world.

ReplyDeleteOk so Henry went to visit Henry Street after all it was named after him and he ate all the cup cakes he could find. LOL What a fun adventure Henry must be having. Do i see union jack overalls on Henry too? Of course he would have to have a really warm jumper and annorack oh and don't forget the hat.
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing your fun.
Eliza Mind you this is all a guess of course. LOL
Hahaha! Love how the bears love watching paint dry! They clearly are in need of a rest after all that creativity and adventures with their friend! Happy Wednesday to you all x

ReplyDeleteHello bears, how nice of you to drop in at Words and Pictures when you're clearly very busy being highly secretive - something else we have in common (the love of lemon curd...). Loving the look of the circular pages, and looking forward to seeing what transpires.

Well, you bears certainly have been busy!
ReplyDeleteI bet that Henry’s mummy can’t wait to have him back so she can read about all the adventures he’s had while he’s been gone.

Yes, watching paint dry, a favorite past time of many. I love the idea of the bears visiting around and making journal pages of their visits. Very cool!
ReplyDeleteSounds like your bears have lots of adventures and the journal is a great idea.
ReplyDeleteAs for a bear bag, you will have to ask LLJ as she is the bear who makes them! I think she is at no. 13 today!
What a lovely idea I hope we get let into the secret pages ! Happy WOYWW
ReplyDeleteYeah Paint drying is a bore ! but crafters never have much patience do we :0))
ReplyDeletefantastic idea BTW
thanks for passing by
have a great week x
Hi Bears great to see what you have been up to today ! Thanks for stopping by ! Ali x
ReplyDeleteThanks for visiting :) have you nothing you can up-cycle for storage shelves? Gonna create more storage soon.
ReplyDeleteUnfortunately not, we donated everything we didn't use before we moved to the bearngalow
DeleteWatching paint dry...lol Too funny! waving hi from the hills of North Carolina :)
ReplyDeleteWhat a great idea to have a visiting bear. When my daughter was in first grade at school, they used to take it in turns to bring the class teddy bear home. He had a journal and his adventures were recorded. Love the bears watching paint dry, so exciting for them :)
ReplyDeleteHave a great week.

Isn't it fun when we can still all be a child at heart. I made the first pages of a bear journal and gave it, with the bear, to my grandson on his fourth birthday. He was a very early reader and this was to encourage him to write as well. He is eleven now and has just passed his Sats with the highest marks in his class, so maybe his early start helped. He still has 'Ed the Ted' in his room.
ReplyDeleteI hope Henry arrives safely home after his travels. I think it is a lovely project. Kate x #25
Your journal pages look great. While I'm letting things dry I try to work on something else - or do a bit of housecleaning....
ReplyDeleteYesterday was my blog anniversary - candy will be announced soon. As part of the candy I'm offering up something made by me -- so come visit and cast your vote (if you've already been - thank you. I'm trying to visit everyone this week so haven't checked in on my comments lately).
Happy WOYWW

We used to let the human of the house blog, but then we staged a coup and ousted her. Watch your bear closely!
ReplyDeleteMy hubby and I have got lots of bears, but our favourites are Winston and Edwina, our two Bear Factory bears, who are sitting across the room from me now, watching the Olympics!
ReplyDeleteLove your next post, with the bears doing the crafting. So cute!!
Thanks for your visit. My chair is lovely and comfy! I can't sit on a normal chair for long without discomfort, but that one gives me the support I need, and it swivels and scoots across the floor too - at least, not much scooting at the moment because the floor's full of stuff lol!!
Happy belated WOYWW,

Made me chuckle....watching paint dry is an occupational hazard, huh! No spoilers, but I think Henry's been eating cupcakes on his travels....?
ReplyDeleteWatching paint dry is one of my jobs too. They are busy paointing my craftroom furniture and I am getting very impatient.
ReplyDeleteHappy very belated WOYWW
