It's only words words words...

Hello there from your furred friend Horace. Have you seen the new challenge over at Our Creative Corner? The very talented Butterfly has set the theme, which is Words Words Words, what a fantastic idea.

I've just made this.

I was in the mood for some positivity, so Googled (don'cha just love Googling) quotes, and look what I came up with. I was soooo excited I didn't even paws to grab the camera for a 'how to'. Tsk, silly me. 'Bear'sically I misted the background then added some texture paste through our raindrops mask. Over that I added some pastel colour for a moody effect. Seeing as this page is all about the quote though, I printed it out large enough to cover most of the double spread.

The tree was cut from the Cricut Heritage cartridge, and the image is Tim Holtz's Rain man, cut onto some patterned paper which has random text on it. Really, could this page be any more wordy?

Just in case you can't make it out, my quote says 'Never cut a tree down in the winter time. Never make a negative decision in the down time. Never make your most important decisions when you are in your worst moods. Wait, be patient, the storm will pass. Spring will come'. By Robert. H. Schuller.

I loved making this, thank you Butterfly for such a great challenge.
With love from the bears

  5. Oh, Horace... you've really hit the nail on the head for me with this quote at this particular moment - thank you. And what a brilliant page spread - giving real prominence to the words, but also with such a beautiful, bluesy, textured background, and the wonderful Umbrella Man. The tree is so great too... wonderful work. Thank you so much for playing along with us at Our Creative Corner.
