So, what have the bears got on the workdesk this week? Well whilst perusing craft challenge blogs, we came across a vintage challenge at Eclectic Ellapu. Being a vintage kind of bear myself, this challenge was just pawfect for me.
I decided to make cards using Stamping Inspirations for You magazine, this comes with both free stamps and free papers. You know how the bears love their freebies.
I found some fantastic vintage images which were made for this kind of challenge.
Including some rather cute bear images
I made a conventional style card
and an easel card
But for the challenge, I made the vintage card below. It's in a collage style as the images seemed to be crying out to be collaged. Everything used comes from the papers provided in the middle of the magazine. I 3d stickied the main, vintage lady image, to add draw the eye to her.
Thanks to Eclectic Ellapu for providing me with such great inspiration. I've really enjoyed my 'crafternoon'
With love from the bears.
And what a lovely crafternoon this was, Wilbear!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous cards - all of them! Well done!
Hugs,
die amelie xx

ReplyDeleteWibear, I love your blog and all three cards you've made this craftnoon. I am so happy that our challenge this week inspired you enough to make three different vintage creations. Your entry is fabulous, I love the colour combo and how you've designed it. Thank you for joining us this week at Eclectic Ellapu's "It's A Vintage Thing" challenge.

Well Wilbear I love all three cards, but the ones with the bears on melt my heart. They look a little like my own teddy, Teddy General, who is getting on a bit and cuddles up with various friends in my bedroom where it's nice and warm. Happy WOYWW, hugs Buttons #96

ReplyDeleteWhew! Wilbear, this is only the first Wednesday in November! Please don't frighten me so as I have workshop on the 2nd one and I'm not ready for it. Your vintage cards are most awesome! I confess to being partial to the teddy bear ones myself. The collage one, while just as nice, is collage and collage sometimes make me have hives. Dunno why!
ReplyDeleteYou know bears have very little brain, I was thinking of chocolate and hunny and somehow my mind forwarded itself a week. Oops. :) (I prefer the bears too, of course, but wasn't sure they were vintage enough for the challenge.)
DeleteWilbear, you are a very clever little bear. Your cards are beautiful. It must be very hard for you to do with paws, so a big hug for being so good.
ReplyDeleteHave a great week.
